Winner of Outdoor Gear Lab’s Guides Best Buy Award, the MSR Evo Snowshoes are a favorite worldwide. The Evos received good grades on both beginner and to advanced rolling terrain. Tail extensions are available to add float in the deepest snow. Read more about MSR Evo Snowshoes here. | Jack Mesick primarily worked in pencil, because he loved the detail and the shading that the simple black and white medium allowed him to portray. Jack also issued limited edition prints of his drawings. A full time professional artist, Jack received considerable acclaim for his realistic wildlife drawings and intricate local barn and landscape scenes. He was perhaps best known for his “hidden” deer and turkey art work and Jack enjoyed challenging the viewer to find all of the naturally camouflaged wildlife, as well as the artfully placed man-made intrusions depicted in his pictures. More info about the artist below* |
The CMC thanks Kenco Outfitters, Morgan Outdoors and Edie Mesick for their contributions to our raffle.
*Additional information about the artist: Jack Mesick’s art work was published in a number of magazines, including New York’s Conservationist (his photographs and drawings were published many times throughout the 1990’s), and the New York Sportsman. The National Wild Turkey Federation’s magazine Turkey Call published Jack’s pencil drawings numerous times over the last 3 decades, and both Field & Stream and Bowhunter’s magazine used Jack’s art work to accent their articles. Jack also illustrated a book entitled Wild Turkeys: Hunting and Watching, published in 1998 by Storey Books of VT.
