“Pepacton Boat Launch” – An original Acrylic on paper painting by renowned local artist Nancy McShane.
This framed, 14 x 17 inch painting was created plein air at the Pepacton Reservoir Perch Lake boat launch site. Nancy started oil painting in 1973 under the guidance of Michael Honigsburg, a local portrait artist, in Long Beach NY, who she continued with for about 17 years. Since moving to Andes, Nancy has become a landscape painter and has been featured in numerous art shows around the Catskills. “I’m in awe every day of the beauty that surrounds me.” Nancy say. “The mountains and valleys, trees, wildflowers and wildlife give me endless inspiration.” Over the years she has taken workshops at Woodstock School of Art, Suny Cobleskill, The Fletcher Farm School in Ludlow, VT and she is a member of the East Branch Delaware River Plein Air Painters.
