Snowshoe hike to two 3500 peaks, Balsam & Eagle, at a slow to moderate pace. There will be a nice view from the approach to Balsam Mountain. For those working on the Catskill All Trails Challenge, this hike will complete the Seager – Big Indian trail, and the Mine Hollow trail; and will cover part of the Pine Hill – West Branch trail, and a very small part of the Oliverea – Mapledale trail.

Additional Information: This is a through hike. From the meeting point (which is easy to find and has cell service) we’ll drive to the Seager parking area, at the end of Dry Brook Rd, and leave cars where we’ll finish the hike. Then we’ll drive to the parking area at the end of Rider Hollow Rd to start the hike.
Note: Waterproof boots and/or gaiters are recommended. This hike requires several stream crossings. High water may cause a change in the plans.
