Mud Pond

We’ll hike the Mud Pond and Trout Pond trails on map 144.  These are two of the Catskills most beautiful ponds.  Catskills All Trails Challenge Hikers take note.

Event Duration:  14 miles, 11 hours

Level of Difficulty:  Difficult

Bring: Waterproof hiking boots, hiking poles, headlamp, snacks, at least 2 liters of water/sports drink, sun screen, bug repellent

Group size is limited to 12, so register early.

Dogs allowed: Yes, only with permission of event leader

Driving Directions:   We’ll meet for breakfast at the Roscoe Diner, Old Rt 17, in Roscoe , NY (https://goo.gl/maps/tAxtKN1qcVcJUygs6), and will leave to start the shuttle at 8:00 am. We’ll caravan to Mud Pond & Trout Pond Hiking Trail and Campgrounds
Russell Brook Rd, Roscoe, NY 12776 (https://goo.gl/maps/PDb1vr2mrekdUSjZ7), leave a car there and drive to the trail head on Campbell Mountain Rd (42.043386, -74.936017) to start the hike.
