View east from the Pelnor Hollow Trail

We’ll hike the Campbell Mountain, Little Spring Brook and Pelnor Hollow trails on Map 144. During lunch we’ll enjoy the view from Split Rock Lookout.

Event Duration:  13 miles, 10 hours

Level of Difficulty:  Difficult

Bring: Comfortable hiking boots, hiking poles (recommended), snacks, at least 2 liters of water/sports drink, sun screen, bug repellent, headlamp.

Group size is limited to 12, so register early.

Dogs allowed: Yes, only with permission of event leader

Additional Information:  The Little Spring Brook trail is typically overgrown, wet, and challenging to follow. Parking is difficult on Pelnor Hollow Rd.

Driving Directions:   We’ll meet for breakfast at the Roscoe Diner, Old Rt 17, in Roscoe , NY (https://goo.gl/maps/tAxtKN1qcVcJUygs6), and will leave to start the shuttle at 8:00 am. We’ll caravan to a parking spot along Pelnor Hollow Rd, leave a car, and drive to the trail head on Campbell Mountain Rd (42.043386, -74.936017) to start the hike
