Please join me for a nice snowshoe, hopefully.  Bring other traction footwear appropriate for the conditions and weather. We will start from the Parking Area on Campbell Brook Rd.. It is nice moderate hike over a couple of rolling hills down to the lean-to at Trout Pond (Cable Lake). From there we can continue on for 1.4 miles to Russell Brook Falls.

Driving Directions: 

Western Catskill Trails Map 144 E/6. From Downsville take Rt 206/30 towards Roscoe, 3.1 miles, turn right onto Cat Hollow, Dr Bush Memorial Hwy, towards Roscoe, 2.9 miles. Turn Right onto Jug Tavern Rd for 1.6 miles, Turn left onto Campbell Mountain Road .4 miles, turn right onto Campbell Brook Road. About .6 miles to the Parking Area.

From Roscoe take Rt 206,8.4 miles, turn left onto Jug Tavern Road. 1.6 miles turn left on to Campbell Mountain Road. .4 miles turn right onto Campbell Brook Road. About .6 miles to the Parking Area.
