Mt. Pleasant, though only a little over 2800′, is highly visible to Catskill visitors. It’s very prominent location makes it a landmark from Mt Tremper, Wittenberg and a number of other Catskill summits. Mt Pleasant is one of those ‘I wonder what mountain that is’ peaks, as it sits on the south side of NY28, towering over the hamlet of the same name.
The hike will climb 2000′ in approximately 8 miles. About 6 hours. Moderately strenuous. Wear good hiking boots and dress in wicking layers for your comfort as weather condition can change rapidly. Bring lunch and plenty of water. Well behaved dogs allowed by prior arrangement with the leaders.
Depending on conditions, this hike may be postponed. The leaders will notify registrants of any change.
