The CMC is a 501(c)(3) organization, making donations to it deductible from income tax to the extent provided by law. Since no goods or services will be provided in connection with a donation, the full amount of the donation may be eligible for deduction.

Friends of Bramley Mountain Fire Tower, Inc., formed on January 6, 2020, has filed for tax-exempt status with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization. While we believe it likely that the application will be approved, the ultimate determination by the IRS will govern how donors may treat their donations. If you choose to donate directly, you are welcome to check back with the Friends later in 2020 concerning the status of the application.
