Watershed Woodland Hike with Yoga | Monday, October 15, 9 AM

A moderate hike suitable for novice hikers leads to a spectacular view of the Pepacton reservoir and a scenic pond where we will have a short yoga stretch, and a brief discussion of the recent and past history of the reservoir, including the towns that used to populate the area.

Event Duration:  2.5 miles, 2 hours

Level of Difficulty:  Easy-Moderate, 760′ ascent

Bring: No mats needed, but be prepared to hike with sturdy hiking shoes, water, bug spray and rain gear if needed.

Group size is limited to 12, so register early.

Dogs allowed:  No

Additional Information:  Cancelled in case of heavy rain or thunderstorms.

Driving Directions:  This hike is partnering with the Morton Memorial Library at 22 Elm Street in Pine Hill; participants can meet at the library by 9am and carpool to the trailhead, or meet at the trailhead at 9:30.

 From Margaretville go west on SR 28 to SR 30.  Turn left towards the Shavertown Bridge and then right just before the bridge. Park in the DEP lot on the left.

From Andes go south on CR 1 to the lot on the right just before SR30 and the bridge.
