Join Al Purdy and friends for this one-way Western Catskills traverse. Beginning on the Little Spring Brook Trail, the hike will be taking the Campbell Mountain and Trout Pond Trails and ending at Campbell Brook Parking Area. If you're aspiring to complete the All Trails Challenge, this hike will collect the Campbell Mountain and Little Spring Brook Trails, as well two miles of the Trout Pond Trail. Rated as difficult, this nine-mile outing is expected to take about eight hours.
Participants need to bring lunch/ snacks, water/drink, as well as proper layered clothing, rain gear, sturdy boots (water-resistant), trekking poles, insect repellent – and be prepared for muddy conditions. Note, we will meet at the Campbell Brook Road parking lot (this will be the end of the hike). From this meeting place, we will carpool to the beginning of the hike (Little Spring Brook Road.)

Driving Directions: Campbell Brook Road is reached from NYS 206 (also known as Del. Cty Hwy 7).
From the north, go to the intersection of NYS Routes 206 and 30 (2.75 miles west of Downsville on Rte. 30) take 206 south for 2.9 miles and turn right onto Jug Tavern Rd. Take Jug Tavern Rd. 1.6 miles to the end and turn left onto Campbell Mountain Road. Take Campbell Mtn. Rd. 0.4 miles to it’s end and turn right onto Campbell Brook Road. Continue 0.5 miles and the parking area will be on the left.
From the south in Roscoe (at Main Street traffic light), take 206 north for 8.4 miles and turn left onto Jug Tavern Rd. Take Jug Tavern Rd. 1.6 miles to the end and turn left onto Campbell Mountain Road. Take Campbell Mtn. Rd. 0.4 miles to it’s end and turn right onto Campbell Brook Road. Continue 0.5 miles and the parking area will be on the left.
