The Catskill Mountain Club is a grass-roots organization of outdoor enthusiasts dedicated to providing a wide range of non-motorized outdoor group activities throughout the Catskill Park and the larger Catskill Mountain region. We seek to provide a variety of opportunities that meet the interests and abilities of all age levels.

The CMC is committed to good stewardship of our environment through the safe, sustainable and responsible use of our pristine forests, streams and reservoirs. We build and we maintain trails on newly opened New York City watershed lands, on local government lands and on New York State Forest Preserve lands. We offer informative educational events to help our members learn about skills, the natural and human histories of the Catskills and the recreational resources of the Catskills. We endorse Leave No Trace principles and the Hike Safe Hiker Responsibility Code.

Members receive

An official CMC embroidered patch when you join. Sew it onto your pack and show your support for the Catskill Mountain Club!
A CRC membership card which entitles you to 10% discount on non-sale items when you present your CMC membership card at: Morgan Outdoors in Hurleyville, Overlook Bicycles in Woodstock, and
Rock and Snow in New Paltz.
