Laura Smith on Plateau (D. Felicetta)

This challenging hike from Notch Inn Lake/ Rte 214 up Plateau Mountain will be taken at a moderate pace. We will stop to enjoy multiple views and hike to the summit of Plateau Mountain (3840’). Rated as difficult, this is a 7.4-mile hike that is expected to take 7.5 hours. Please do come enjoy a day of summer in the Catskills! See you!

Participants need to bring lunch/ snacks, plenty of water/ beverage, insect repellent, sunscreen, sturdy hiking shoes, and proper clothing. Dogs are not permitted. Poor weather or threat of storms will cancel this hike.

Directions: We will meet at the parking area adjacent to (Stony Clove) Notch Lake, which is located on State Route 214, 2.9 miles south of State Route 23A and 9.5 miles north of State Route 28, on the west side of the highway.
