Here’s a seven-mile, point-to-point hike with great views led by Deanna Felicetta. Rated as difficult, the pace will be moderate and include the climb up onto and along Plateau with a descent on the scenic Warner Creek Trail. This outing is the second installment in a series of hikes along the Devil’s Path in honor and memory of Laura Smith. Six hours in the approximate duration of the hike. Participants should bring lunch/ snacks, water/ beverage, as well as clothes and gear for the weather and trail conditions, e.g. proper clothing, micro-spikes if needed, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Directions: We will meet on Notch Inn Road near its junction with State Route 214. We will then shuttle north to Stony Clove Notch to begin the ascent on Devil’s Path. To reach Notch Inn from State Route 28, turn onto Route 214 at Phoenicia and proceed 8.1 to Notch Inn Road, which is on the right. From State Route 23A, take Route 214 south for 4.2 miles and Notch Inn Road is on the left.
