Enjoy this 6.3-mile out-and-back hike from the end of Mink Hollow Road to the summit of Plateau Mountain. There are a few stream crossings on the Mink Hollow Trail and then a steep climb up the Devil's Path for over a mile to the Plateau summit. Participants should bring lunch/ snacks, water/ drink comfortable hiking shoes, extra layers of clothing, rain gear, hiking poles if you use them, and insect repellent in case. Driving directions to meeting location: From NYS Thruway Exit 19 (Kingston), turn right onto Route 28 from the traffic circle and follow Route 28 for 18.9 miles; then turn right onto Route 212. Follow Route 212 for 6.5 miles and turn left onto Mink Hollow Road. Follow Mink Hollow Road 2.9 miles to the trailhead at the end of the road. (From the west on Route 28, Route 212 is 3.84 east of Phoenicia.)
