Friday, September 20, 10 AM - Catskill Native Plant Society hikes with CMC

Join Catskill Center CRISP coordinator and plant fanatic Molly Marquand for a botanically oriented tromp through the forest. Learn how our ash trees are faring during the emerald ash borer onslaught, what hemlocks mean to trout, and how to tell the signs of a healthy, un-invaded forest by reading plants. Molly is co-founder of the Catskill Native Plant Society. Check it out here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Catskill-Native-Plant-Society/166048230216799 . Wear sturdy shoes and bring plenty of water and a snack. Well behaved dogs welcome. Rain postpones. For information contact Molly at mmarquand@catskillcenter.org.
Directions:  From Boiceville take SR 28A south three miles to Watson Hollow Rd./CR 42 in West Shokan. Turn west (right) and continue four miles to the Kanape Brook P.A. on the right.
